Western Sydney Faith Based Community Network: Covid Response

About the campaign
Background
A local meeting of western Sydney General Practitioners identified the need to engage the community, particularly disadvantaged and hard-to-reach communities through faith-based organisations. As a result, under the auspices of HealthServe, we invited faith leaders in the community, interested doctors and academics to join us for meetings over zoom.
Aim
To flatten the COVID-19 curve in western Sydney by reaching out to individuals and communities through faith-based leaders and organisations.
Objectives
- To communicate quality, consistent and regular COVID-19 information to communities in Western Sydney through faith leaders.
- To undertake a survey to assess the impact of COVID-19 in the community. 3. To share models of care.
- To develop appropriate resources and interventions.
